Sanraa's new AVATAR

Sanraa media enters in to film production

Sanraa started out as an animation company but also forayed into distribution a few months back.

Producer Usha Venkatramani has been a part of GV Films for many years and now she has launched a new production house ‘Sanraa Media’ with collaboration with another producer. The production house is now churning out two films at the same time.

One is Sadagoppan Ramesh starrer ‘Patta-Patti 50:50’ and Sathyaraj-Prakash Raj’s ‘Kulasekaranum Koolippadayum’. Talks are going on with another filmmaker for a project that’ll start rolling shortly…

Kulasekaranum Koolipadayum

The film features Sathyaraj, Prakash Raj and Nattu aka Nataraj (cinematographer of Jab We Met’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal) Udhayathara and Keerthi Chawla in lead roles. The film is directed by G. Siva of Dhanam fame while ace cinematographer R.D. Rajashekar cranks the camera. It’s gonna be an unforeseen hilarious blast over the screens as Telugu film industry’s comedy actor Brahmanandam and Vaigai Puyal’’s Vadivelu are teaming up for the first time.

Maestro Illayaraja will score music for this film while V.T. Vijayan handles editing. The film is produced by Usha Venkatramani and S. Kousalya Ravi under the banner name of Sanraa Media.

 Patta-Patti 50:50

Cricketer Sadagoppan Ramesh is all set to make his debut as a film's protagonist with Patta-Patti 50:50. The film is being directed by debutant Yuvaraj and produced by Sanraa Media in collaboration with Flicker Studios. With the film rolling fast on the floors towards completion, cricketer Ramesh interacted with media channels about this project.

Says Ramesh, "To be precise, I've been receiving whole lot of acting offers from a very long time. As a matter of fact, I was supposed to play Aarya's role in Jeeva's Ullam Ketkume, but I wasn't familiar with performing before the lens. Gradually I had to identify myself as an actor, understand my potentials and later got into this field. Many people have been asking me about my minimal role in Santhosh Subramaniam. I hardly appeared in few scenes and yet inherited some traits while acting with Jeyam Ravi and Prakash Raj."
